Job Description

• Develop the QE components of the project plan.
  
• Provide the project team with information and mentoring on the Rational Toolset and its implementation on the project.
  
• Ensure the installation and proper configuration of the Rational Toolset.
  
• Manage use case modeling, requirements gathering and documentation activities relative to testing initiatives.
  
• Develop test plan and provide oversight on all deliverables from team members.
  
• Provide test planning, coverage, execution reports to project manager.
  
• Work in an individual contributor role in test execution.
  
• Assist in classifying defects.
  
• Provide defect reports to project manager and technical lead.
  
• Provide sign off on build readiness for release to client.
  
• Mentor internal team members and client staff in software engineering QA processes.
  

Job Requirements

• Must have strong experience with the Rational Suite of tools (Rose, TestStudio, Robot, TeamTest, ClearQuest, ReqPro, etc.).
  
• Previous QE project experience (in any area of testing) for at least 2 full system implementations.
  
• 4-5 years in the Quality Assurance Industry in multiple roles including performance tester (with test automation experience).
  
• 4+ years commercial consulting experience.
  
• Top-notch communication and presentation skills.
  
• Detail oriented.
  
• Organization and writing skills.
  
• Deep understanding and practical experience with iterative, OO-based development, specifically in a RUP-based (Rational Unified Process) project.
  
• Functional testing experience is strongly preferred.
