Job Description:
The selected IT Architect will report to the CTO and work closely with the Sr. Enterprise Integration Architect to develop Database models, data sharing designs and Data conversion models.
The data architect will provide enterprise data models, data schemas and data infrastructure. The data architect will support DHR business analysts, developers and system data. Responsible for coordinating, administering and supporting activities related to data planning, data recovery, system data modeling, data integration and development.

. Establish policies and procedures for data security, maintenance, data warehouse modeling and utilization in the development, testing, training and production environment across all platforms.
. Establish consistent data element definitions; define metadata standards and environment to support metadata collection.. Ensures data dictionaries are maintained across multiple database environments.
. Analyze and design models, logical databases and relational data base -definitions.
. Provide data element naming; Performs data modeling studies and develops detailed models.
In this role, the architect will also interact regularly with the CTO and architectural team. The initial assignment will involve analysis design and establishment and logical database model in support of IT initiatives.
Other assignments will involve design and development of logical databases for data sources for applications across multiple projects.
Other responsibilities include:
1. Preparing Data architecture artifacts and Assessments.
2. Providing guidance to development teams.
3. Working directly as support to the efforts of the Chief Technology Officer, as requested.

Required Skills:
? Bachelor Degree or Masters Degree in Information Technology or other science related area, or equivalent professional work experience.
? At least 5 years experience as an It data architect involved in large IT implementations.
. 3 to 5 years experience in data administration on various platforms.
. Extensive knowledge in data modeling tools such as ERWIN, extensive knowledge in meta data repository tools.
. Working knowledge of XML, and Unix.. Experience with OLTP/OLAP technologies.
. Experience with data modeling/data architecture (dimensional modeling, star schema, snowflake schema).
. Solid experience with a number of Oracle products/tools (RDBMS, Designer, Forms, Reports, Discoverer, Express, Java/HTML, Unix Shell, Oracle Warehouse Builder.
. Experience with Oracle?s web technology: Oracle 9i Application Server (9iAS), Portal, JavaScript.
? Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills with a customer service orientation.
? Business references as indicated in ''Other Comments'' must be on the resume when submitted.

Preferred Skills:
? Three years experience as a team leader or managing/supervising staff.
. Experience with products such as Informatica, Business Objects, Cognos, microstrategy or Essbase.
. Three or more years of experience building and maintaining Microsoft SQL Server databases and DB2.
. Experience with LDAP (Novell), AD/AM and manipulation of authentication structures.
? Experience working in a project-oriented, matrix organization.

Travel Description: Limited Statewide Travel may occur. When travel is required, expenses will be reimbursed. Local travel, mileage, parking and meals are reimbursable.
