#28928 Project Manager (Contract) - Atlanta

Job Description:
This position will provide the project management for GTA's detailed design and implementation phase of its Business and Functional Realighment project. The project will have aggressive timelines and dual tracks for organizational design and functional analysis. Both tracks will need to be tightly coupled and coordinated. The selected candidate will report to the Director of Internal Plannning and Performance Management and the Director of Human Resources and will assist with the overall project management by developing and/or using standard project management tools and processes including schedules, issues lists, risk matrices, action items and escalation plans. The successful candidate will also assist with meeting and calendar management, weekly report preparation, and weekly status meetings to the Steering Committee. The successful candidate will coordinate the activities of 3 facilitators and 3 technical writers dedicated to the project.
Required Skills: - Five years of experience in organizational and functional realignment in an Information Technology environment.
- Five years of experience in function analysis and process re-engineering activities.
- Minimum of five years of project management experience in IT process development and/or process re-engineering.
- Must have excellent leadership, interpersonal, and motivation skills, evident by five years of experience leading project teams.
- Must be a team player and be able to adjust and cope with processes inherent to government agencies.

Minimum Years of experience needed for required skills: 5
Preferred Skills: - Five years of experience in organizational design and skills assessment in an IT organization to include defining the optimum staffing levels.
-PMP desired but specific experience as detailed above is more critical.
