Position: Communications Specialist/WEB CONTENT PRODUCER

Description:
Showcases and organizes articles, photographs

and graphics in effective ways throughout the industry's website. Develops multimedia features and

interactive tools for the site. Posts articles from the written publication, staff and freelance writers. The position also is responsible for

developing online-extra articles, multimedia features,

community elements, and interactive tools in

collaboration with print and online colleagues.
The web content producer will be challenged to

understand a wide variety of topicsfrom general

interest areas such as health and personal finance to

specific policy issues such as Medicare, politics and

Social Securityand conceptualize and produce

meaningful web content that helps individual members

to personalize and act upon critical issues.

Maintains high standards for usability, accuracy,

consistency, appearance, and overall quality of web properties

Produces online versions of articles from the news feed

and from the assigning editors as well as print articles,

appropriately connected to supporting online-extra

elements and appropriately promoted and referenced

throughout the site

Refreshes home and channel and sub-channel pages

daily and maintains and helps organize all site content
