Implementation Engineer will provide implementation support converting a Frame Relay / ATM network over to a PIP Network the position requires the engineer to attend daily customer activations. The Implementation Engineer will coordinate and address circuit imparities on domestic, international circuits and resolve CPE issues that arise during the installation. Implementation Engineer will work with internal and external groups to resolve implementation issues. The position requires a broad range of skills within a professional discipline to effectively perform routine assignments; demands familiarity with principles, theories, concepts and technologies as well as applied knowledge of established procedures, policies and practices.

The Implementation Engineer must possess technical knowledge and understanding of switched voice signaling methods, communications facility impairments, typical communication network elements involved with each product/service, voice switch database/trunk group parameters, call progression & processing, PIP inter-networking, ability to configure and test typical circuit types Frame Relay, ATM, DS-1, DS-3, and OC-X, various CPE devices such as (CSU, DSU, M13, IMUX, CSU/DSU), Avaya Switches, Local Number Portability, Centrex, PBX. Minimum of 5-7 years of communications Services/product installation and maintenance experience.

The position may require the individual to provide scheduling duties. The scheduler will be responsible for daily workload assignments. The scheduler may be required to perform the following duties.

The ACT Scheduler is the primary liaison between the Implementation Engineer and ACT Engineer on all orders scheduled for activation.

. Interface with the account team on all new installation/activation.
. Review all request from the account team.
. Act as the interface for all requests between the account team and the ACT group.
. Assign all activation/cutover request to the ACT team members.
. Assign and add all requests to the ACT webpage.
. Check the ACT webpage to make sure all request is updated by the ACT team members.
. Submit all relevant reports by generating data from the ACT webpage.
. Verify all request can be supported for the date and time requested.
. Maintain the issue bridge 8 AM to 8 PM EST.

This position may require overtime.
