Staff, Network Administrator Essential Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring, troubleshooting and problem resolution of large WAN/LAN environment including Cisco routers, Cisco switches, firewalls, VPN and VOIP in a challenging, fast paced operational environment.
  • Document problems and communicate to management, engineers and teammates. Coordinate and implement network changes including building configurations as needed or by request of senior level engineers. Compile statistics and reports on network performance and utilization. Maintain network devices including physical swapping of devices, cards and cables.


Minimum Professional and Technical Skills:

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of network administration experience
  • 2+ years LAN/WAN administration
  • Ability to maintain, upgrade and configure Cisco switches, routers, firewalls, Cisco VPN, CAT OS and IOS.
  • VOIP experience a plus.
  • Experience with HP Network node manager, Alterpoint, sniffers and other network management/monitoring applications is preferred.
  • Applicant should have a good understanding of network protocols: HSRP, BGP and EIGRP. Experience in IPSEC and GRE tunneling a plus.


Minimum Education, Certification, Training:
This position requires a Bachelor Degree
CCNA preferred
