3+ years direct experience in Healthcare/Business Systems Analyst role is required. (**Direct clinical experience is preferable).

Strong analytical skills in Premier or Thomson Reuters.

Knowledge of critical applications (MS Office, SQL, etc).

Expert knowledge of relational database management.

Advanced interpersonal skills with ability to communicate effectively and concisely both verbally and in written form.

Ability to organize, prioritize, and demonstrate excellent time management skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Previous experience in Healthcare or Quality Improvement preferred.

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

The Outcomes Data Analyst will provide data analysis and reporting for information including but not limited to core measures, financial, clinical and other data elements to support the Quality Department. Interfaces with Premier to obtain required data and various departments within our client. Develop reports that assist management to improve quality and cost-effective care. Identifies ongoing data and information system requirements that support the Quality Department.

Designs, develops and establishes routine and ad-hoc reports to clinicians and administration to monitor cost, quality and clinical effectiveness.

Works closely with system data analysis staff in Information Systems.

Utilize reporting tool to provide actionable information such as detailed comparative clinical outcome measures, clinical resource utilization and transaction-level data to help develop plans to improve both process and outcomes within the client.

Develops reports utilizing various report writers as needed.

Uses internal and external databases to establish appropriate benchmarks for clinical, access, and financial targets.

Analyzes data for accuracy, appropriateness, reliability, and validity prior to review/analysis with management/requesting areas.

Identifies data integrity/limitations issues, and recommends required changes to enhance data.

Interfaces on key data systems and serves as a reporting expert.

Coordinates multiple projects simultaneously and brings them to a timely and accurate completion.

Identify clinical opportunities for improvement, supporting detailed analysis of the improvement priorities such as clinical components, and resources utilization by providing true analysis using SPC techniques such as control charts, histograms and scatter diagrams as necessary.

Assures strict confidentiality of information coming into and being disseminated out of the Quality Department.

Performs duties as required or assigned by emergency or other operational reasons for which the employee is qualified to perform.

Complete projects on time and functions with minimal supervision.

Understand basic database/server architecture to facilitate troubleshooting and issue resolution.

Anticipate user needs and continuously look for systems solutions to improve business efficiency and productivity.
