Currently looking for a I/S Specialist - SAP/ABAP - Permanent Opportunity!

Prepares detailed specifications from which programs will be written. Coding SAP ABAP duties to support business needs. Formulates and defines systems scope and objectives for assigned projects. Ability to perform job successfully and satisfactorily. Evaluates new and existing software products and make recommendations of potential users. Conducts research to learn current trends in technology, generate improvement suggestions, and present findings to supervisors. Develops training material/documentation. Responsibilities may include training on new or enhanced functionality. Answers questions posed by co-workers and SAP users, act as a point of reference in area of expertise, and may be sought out to answer questions. Attends various training sessions and may formally train others in the work group. df-tc

Experience/Skills
* BS or BA degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
* Minimum 5 years of technical experience utilizing SAP required.
* Software skills including SAP, relational databases-mainly Oracle, MS Word, and MS Excel required.
* Good understanding of the SAP PM module required.
* Knowledge of SAP PM, MM, and FI/CO, IS-Oil preferred.
* SAP technical skills required: ABAP Development including ALV Reporting; Screen Painter; Menu Painter; Data Dictionary; User Exits; Field Exits; Enhancement Points; SAPscript; Authorization Objects; OSS; BDCs; RFC and SAP Query. ABAP Objects (classes, attributes and methods),
* IDOCs, BAPIs, BADIs, ALE and Smart Forms experience is a plus.
* Thorough technical knowledge of full cycle implementations, as well as systems analysis and programming required.
* Must demonstrate thorough understanding of primary function/system for an area, understanding of technical and some functional knowledge, ability to diagnose complex problems and handle multiple problems simultaneously that may cross multiple departments/systems and impact numerous end users or areas of the business.
* Ability to prioritize and work autonomously, ability to formulate new or better processes or ideas, establish effective working relationships and communicate appropriately according to level of understanding, and ability to lead and/or attend meetings to represent area.
* Ability to identify an issue, analyze and research the problem, and begin to formulate a solution and/or recommendation required.
* Candidate must possess a high degree of initiative, creativity, organization and technical ability.
* Excellent communication skills and team work skills required to interact with internal and external contacts, as well as all levels of management.
* Refinery business and operations knowledge preferred.
