This position is responsible for the advancement and overall maintenance and security of all information systems within the organization. Position currently supervises a Help Desk Support Specialist and reports to the VP of Finance and Administration. Advises program, educational and administrative personnel in all areas of information technology needs, objectives and capabilities, including allocation of resources in accordance with budget and strategic plan.

Will oversee and assist information technology staff with servers, printers, workstations, network hardware, data communication and telecommunication software and hardware issues. This is a hands on position. Coordinates website development efforts. Enhances and develops as needed information policies and procedures consistent with state, federal and Joint Commission of Accreditation for Healthcare Organization guidelines. Job Requirements
- B.S. or B.A. required with a major in Management Information Systems or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years experience, including 2 years directly supervising technical support staff. (More extensive experience may be substituted for education requirements.)
- Certifications preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Windows 2000/XP desktop operating systems; Office XP, Microsoft Windows 2000 server and Microsoft Exchange Server 2000.

- Knowledge of telecommunication software and other communication devices.
- Knowledge of HIPAA security requirements a plus.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP routing and configurations.
- Knowledge of computer processes and capabilities; including programming languages (SQL) and database management; word processing and email software.
- Ability to troubleshoot routine hardware repairs such as desktops, servers, printers, print servers, scanners, faxes; including telecommunication repairs.
- Demonstrated administrative skills including the design and implementation of effective and efficient internal controls.
- Demonstrated ability to find resourceful and innovative solutions, "think outside the box," congruent with a non-profit organization's resources.
- Strong customer service, written and verbal communication skills
