This position is based in Boston, MA.

Summary
The senior data analyst will need a strong technical background, extensive financial analysis experience, and excellent oral and written communication skills. The role requires leading client, business, and technical teams through an iterative process. A results-oriented individual with the ability to instill confidence and drive change across the enterprise through effective presentation and project management skills is necessary. The senior data analyst needs to have a significant working knowledge of financial modeling software, database development, reporting and presentation layers, project lifecycles, industry needs and trends, and overall process management. Deep understanding of securities processing and business areas is a plus.

Responsibilities
Delivery of an information model that drives the deployment of robust, dynamic, and innovative technical applications that solve enterprise-wide business problems.
Serves as a liaison between the business and technical teams.
Conducting structured client interview sessions, documenting business requirements, and modeling information to support technical solutions,
Establishing trusted advisor relationships with clients.
Set up and maintain project documentation
Prepare client level data, participant level data, and reports for client presentations; actively participate in client meetings
Oversee the assignment, execution and quality output of project tasks given to the assigned analysts
Identify, propose, and obtain approval to create, test and apply new audits to flag DB data errors; review existing audits for accuracy and consistency with plan rules
Investigate/research data error conditions by querying multiple databases and/or conducting manual research
Identify, propose, obtain approval for, test and apply solutions to correct data errors in an automated and/or manual update manner
Perform quality control on other analysts' work product

Qualifications
Bachelor and/or Masters Degree in Economics, Finance, Information Technology, or Statistics.
At least 5 years of logical data modeling, data analysis, or business analysis experience; broad knowledge of data analysis/database design technologies and tools in an operational/transactional environment; and project management and or systems development background.
Sybase PowerDesigner experience preferred.
Experience with Oracle application packages is a plus
Experienced in Financial management or analysis background preferred
Expertise in developing and supporting financial modeling
Strong knowledge and experience with a variety of query tools
Proficiency developing business and technical documentation
