PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Supports Voice over IP for a Cable Modem modem project. In the last 1+ year, Voice over Cable Modem has become a significant product for the company, as the major cable operators begin to include voice in their service offerings. The group is responsible for the telephony signaling protocols. Historically this has been MGCP, but over the next year this will be transitioning to the use of SIP. We interface extensively with DSP signal processing groups, the Cable DOCSIS and Packetcable groups in another country, and our primary customers in Cable.
