Description
Extensive experience working in large Microsoft Exchange messaging environments
Extensive experience and advanced understanding Exchange 2000 and Exchange 2003 is required with Blackberry version 4.0 experience highly desirable
Experience in new product research and evaluation
Experience in solutioning High Availability and Disaster Recovery Solutions
Experience in developing secure Microsoft Exchange builds.
Experience of working in a lab environment to produce documented solution components that can be handed over to an Operational environment.
Understanding of WAN/LAN capacity planning (with regard to messaging)
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Enterprise Servers and Security
Experience in SMTP servers such as IronPort
Knowledge of Clustering technologies such as Microsoft and Veritas
Experience of producing high quality technical documentation
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage their efforts while doing multiple projects and change with shifting priorities.
Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.

Experience/Skills
Other position responsibilities include but not limited to:
Designs, prepares and conducts new technology evaluations to determine infrastructure solutions based on business requirements and makes recommendations for improvement of infrastructure, technology, operational capability, reliability and performance.
Design and build specifications pertaining to enterprise messaging solutions in alignment with Franklin's Messaging strategy.
Analyzes the performance of the infrastructure against current needs and planning for needed improvements.
Responsible for developing, maintaining and documenting technology standards used in the environment.
Responsible for or assists in the troubleshooting and resolution of infrastructure problems relating to Messaging escalated to the Tier III support groups.


Other desired skills:
Reporting to the IT Infrastructure Engineering Manager, the Senior Exchange Architect is part of a larger team composed of System Engineers and Architects responsible for the architecture build and design computing infrastructure.
