Senior Production Support Specialist
The Senior Production Support Specialist shall have a diverse Information Technology background in a wide variety of capacities and be familiar with supporting a large complex dynamic technical Production application with expertise in the following areas:.
System Monitoring .
Investigating, Troubleshooting and Resolving System/User Issues and Errors..
Excellent Technical writing skills to be used to capture and update System procedures and User Instructions.
Excellent Communications skills to be used to capture and record issues and activities, as well as communicate directly with application users and customers..
Strong reporting skills to communicate and prepare detailed technical reports..
Strong Database and Process Server skills..
Experience working in a Customer Service / Production Support environment. .
Flexibility to provide support coverage and manage resources such that the support responds to issues and exceptions in a timely manner. Principal Functions:.
Responsible for responding to all Electronic Records Express (ERE) Production System Generated Errors (SGE) and Change Asset Problem Reporting System (CAPRS) tickets. .
Reviewing, Resolving and, as necessary, escalating to the client, all End User Errors and System Processing errors..
Researching and Documenting procedures, guidelines and solutions as they are completed..
Defining, capturing and maintaining support activities for purposes of generating metrics information for reference and reporting purposes.. In instances where an immediate resolution cannot be performed, escalating such issues and documenting procedures and actions as they occur. .
Manages and maintains a support schedule and ensures that all errors and exceptions are handled in an agreed upon timeframe. . Communicates with Users regarding requests for information and support. Manage correspondence to system users and clients. .
Perpetually strives to improve the current processes and manage the application such that users understand and use the system properly and effectively. This includes corresponding with system sponsors and user groups educating them to the proper procedures and methods for using the system and lessening the likelihood of redundant errors.

Skills Requirements Required Skills.
Excellent communication skills to present ideas and concepts effectively; strong and proven problem solving.
Self-managed with the ability to mentor others..
Expert understanding of MS WORD and Excel..
Experience with Mercury Quality Center, MS Access and MS Project..
Experience with DbVisualizer or similar DB query tools.. Database experience, such as Oracle, SQL Server, SQL.. Experience with complex programming, program debugging, data analysis, problem analysis and resolution issues within application systems..
Knowledge of Java/J2EE environment.
Familiarity with Struts and JBPM..
Familiarity with project management frameworks.. Understanding of Load and Performance testing..
Ability to evaluate processing trends and foresight to identify potential system issues and errors.

Desired Skills.
Self starter, highly motivated individual, and a team player who adapts to a dynamic work environment..
Ability to investigate/research issues, evaluate and qualify errors, and provide solutions..
Experience with version control software such as MKS and CSS. .
Familiar with CMM/CMMI..
Familiarity with IT Governance frameworks..
Familiarity with Service Level Agreements and Project Scope Agreements and Systems Development Plans.

Education & Certifications Bachelors or Masters Degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 4+ years or more of professional experience.
