Description
Responsible for providing technical support and training to customers, customer service, 611, telemarketing, sales teams, and computer system engineers. Will be: investigating and resolving wireless computer software and hardware communication problems of users, answering clients inquiries via telephone concerning the use of computer hardware and software, including analog circuit switched data access, CDPD, Airbridge/Cellscape, CDMA circuit switched data service and operating systems, troubleshooting call-processing problems pertaining to translations, SS7, TCP/IP, and telecommunication facilities, manufacturing phone, and any other mobile communication problems; utilizing UNIX and Special UNIX tools to perform traces and simulate scenarios through the switches; and assist in the deployment of new features. Minimum Associates degree REQUIRED. Preference given to 2-year technical degree, relevant military experience, equivalent special electronics training. Minimum 0-1 years experience plus electronics training in similar technical customer service support position is required. General understanding and/or working knowledge of communications software. Netscape, Microsoft Internet Explorer, Dial Up Networking, and computer configurations/re-configurations are required. Ability to multi-task in a high-pressure dynamic and fast-paced environment based on constant customer priority changes is required. Ability to configure, troubleshoot, and provide technical support for PC's, Palm Organizers, Windows CE devices, wireless modems, and POS terminals to connect to the Internet/Intranet and ISP's using such technologies as circuit switch, CDMA, and CDPD is required. Demonstrated troubleshooting skills required to analyze complex solutions and problems is required. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook is required. Ability to work extremely flexible hours and support on-call duties and shift work is required. df-tc
