Description
Global Financial Firm located in Warren, NJ has an immediate contract opportunity for an experienced .NET Engineer/Tester.

A little bit of Developer and tester . It will be glass box testing. So the tester will be suggesting changes to developers and require the ability to read and analyze the code to determine problems.

Infrastructure testing is focused against performance and stress testing, as well as testing to ensure the stability of an environment; also referred to as White Box testing. This description is focused against the .NET infrastructure architect.

The successful candidate will manage and support numerous initiatives, including but not limited to:

Learn industry best practices centered around best in class products like Microsoft Share point.

Choose and conduct proof of concepts for a choice of tools designed to test and exercise the applications under management.

Develop metrics to track the performance of all services across the different applications under management.

Execute Run book automation and orchestration focused against the effectiveness of the application execution.

Asist with automation of the installs and releases into the various testing environments.

  • Conduct code reviews and analyze code for problems incongruent tocoding, security, or performance standards.
  • Develop coding standards to be used by vendors for implementing and delivering products to the development unit for integration.
  • Work with the .net developers to provide training and recommendations for coding.
  • Analyze products to perform autaomated analysis of coding standards.
  • Assist withtest strategy and test case development for the portal applications.

  • BUSINESS OVERVIEW

    In order to ensure stability and performance under high loads a team exists focused again performance testing and analysis, run book automation and White Box testing.

    Learning the applications and understanding their platforms and infrastructures.

    Analyze and interface all the various performance analysis tools currently under use.

    Producing and executing test suites focused against the various portals and products under development by the organization.

    Providing test results and performance metrics in order to inform management as to performance and relative stability of the products under development.

    Understand and acquire a competency in the applications in order to develop and promote performance focused metrics across the suite of applications.

    Establish and build relationships with all team members and development managers across relationship boundaries.

    Improve the performance and stability of many of our most important applications.

    Work with the development groups globally in order to ensure run books are created and largely automated.

    Communicate testing status to management while addressing all required deliverables at a very detailed level.

    Execute testing based upon the performance testing timelines associated with the release schedules.

    Work with development groups in order to ensure stability and performance of all the applications.

    CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS

    Key competencies include:

    Background in both Intel and AMD based systems and development.

    Previous development experience of any major programming language for the Microsoft Operating System (.NET/C/C++/Java)

    Experience in White Box (or glass box) testing tools and Microsoft Visual Studios set of performance and profiling tools.

    Experience in some of the following profiling tools. (Wily Introscope, HP performance center, Avicode, Vantage Analyzer)

    Excellent organizational, planning and prioritization skills

    Strong communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation of complex information and data)

    Very Strong Relationship management skills -- ability to develop and sustain positive partnerships.

    Extremely strong negotiating skills.

    A strong commitment to quality and efficiency

    Years of experience:

    5 years or better of .NET/Sharepoint development experience and 2-3 years of experience as a lead performer in a testing organization.
