Interviews will be scheduled on or around Tuesday July 14, 2009, between the hours of 10:00AM and 4:00PM.



The Estimated start date of any contract resulting from this solicitation is September 1, 2009 and October 1, 2009. The contract will extend for approximately 18 Months. The estimated termination date is February 28, 2011 and March 31, 2011.

Agency requires the services of two (2) consultants to perform application development activities in an environment that utilizes the .NET Framework.

Under the direction of Agency management, consultants should be able to perform application development, maintenance and production support of Web based transactional systems. The consultants must be highly experienced, self-motivated, creative team players, who are able to perform application or database architecture duties or lead a team of developers, if necessary. He/she will be expected to participate in all activities that comprise the system development life cycle, including code walk-through and documentation. In addition, the consultants will be expected to participate in the development of application development standards. These applications are related to, but not limited to the following areas:


Employee Recruitment,
HR Manangement
Case Management,
Student Administration,
Executive and Analytical Reporting

HR systems group is responsible for implementing and managing systems that support all phases of Agency business process: From Employee Recruitment through Retirement and everything in between such as professional development. There are over 170,000 employees, including more than 70,000 active teachers and over 1 million students in the New York City School System. The current applications have been developed in Microsoft ASP/VB and .NET technologies.
