We have an immediate need for a .NET C# developer with financial industry experience.

JOB DESCRIPTION


Role Description: The Developer will be expected to do the following:
- Participate in technical design, development and implementation of application systems
- Design and code programs; create test transactions and run tests to find errors and revise programs
- Write documentation
- Write new programs of moderate complexity and scope, working with basis applications systems designs and specifications and using standard procedures and techniques
- Interface with systems designers to design, code, test and implement application programs

Responsibilities (Deliverables): The Developer will be responsible for the following:
- Write Technical Specifications
- Produce code
- Successfully unit testing code
- Resolve defects
List deliverables or activities the resource will be responsible for producing or executing


Required Skillset: The Developer must possess the following skills:
- Experience with Oracle, SQL Server, Microsoft development technologies with 3+ years experience using C#/.NET. C++ background preferred, although VB and Java background will also be considered.
- ASP.NET/C# and an understanding of HTTP, HTML, and JavaScript are required.
- Component & Object Oriented Development and an ability to understand and write UML models is preferred.
- Experience with IBM MQ Series and WebSphere Workflow and/or Actuate report development is a plus.
- Candidate must be able to contribute in all layers of development, testing and implementation.
List skills that are required for the role (ie programming languages, databases, tools, competencies)


Business Knowledge Needed: - Full system lifecycle required including development, test, and implementation of highly robust and reliable solutions.
- Prefer application development and/or functional experience in brokerage industry or any other allied area
- 2+ years Brokerage industry experience preferred
List any business function process knowledge required for the role.


Additional Capabilities Needed: - Working in collaboration with developers in other groups to ensure that the applications adhere to corporate standards and technologies
- The candidate will be expected to follow standard development methodologies and practices
- Candidate must possess or demonstrate: Good oral and written English communication skills.
- A team player attitude and must demonstrate an understanding of OO principles and practices.
- Bachelors degree or 10+ years of related IT experience required, Graduate level degree in technical field preferred.
