Description
10886 Testers with MS Development Location, Cleveland, OH. Possible contract to hire, 3 months no fees. INCLUSIVE rates only. Multiple roles are available, with a plan to add ~2 testers/month. Additional description: FIT Testing is relatively new in the industry. Brief description on FIT Testing: FIT stands for Functional Integration Testing. Functional testing will validate that the individual software components or stories work in isolation, in accordance with design documentation and/or specified requirements. During development, the tester creates a series of tests that: a) Test the success criteria for the story b) Check boundary conditions heavily c) Test negative conditions to ensure that the code responds to error conditions appropriately d) Test invalid or unexpected input values to verify that the code returns errors or throws exceptions when it should In order to write the scripts testers need to have some amount of development background, C# development background. The tester will need to refactor the FIT scripts i.e. go back and redo all the existing FIT scripts since the existing ones are not accurately testing out the functionality. We need a developer who has done unit level testing (has some Junit, testing experience) and also has knowledge of the testing cycles with some insurance background. Insurance knowledge is a MUST. Looking like at least the lead person on this team would have to be a strong C# developer, because the effort would involve fixture creation/update. The tasks would be: Analyze the existing set of FIT scripts/fixtures to decide how best they need to be refactored to overcome the existing problems Accordingly define standards to write FIT scripts going forward Reorganize the existing set of FIT scripts to group them by transaction Refactor the existing scripts Deprecate any irrelevant or redundant scripts The lead would have to be a developer who has had expertise designing & maintaining a test automation framework. Expected work week is 45 hours.df-tc
