Description
Our client urgently requires a highly-qualified Sr. Business Systems Analyst with Equities analytics expertise to become a member of the Global Trading Systems (GTS) Project Team within our client's Information Systems department. The Senior Systems Analyst (Equities) will work closely with the Equity Trading desk and IS development teams to define the strategy and requirements for the new Equity trading system. Once the implementation begins the Equity Analyst will be responsible for supporting the full lifecycle of the product including requirements definition, design reviews, QA and support. Daily Activities: * Documenting Requirements/Use Cases. * Working with Traders on a daily basis to define their requirements. * Documenting High Level Design. * Develop Test Plans/Scenarios. * Working Closely with Software Engineering & QA team. * Assisting on production support items for Fixed Income Trading as needed. Responsibilities: The Business Systems Analyst (Equities Trading) will contribute to the design, development, and testing of this mission-critical Trading System. This includes gathering and documenting requirements and working closely with the development team as solutions are implemented. The Analyst will also be responsible for assisting with systems testing, coordinating user acceptance testing, deployment, training and support.

Requirements:

* Minimum 7-10 years of experience in Business Analysis and Trading Systems analysis experience (Business Requirements, Functional specifications development experience) is required. * Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Equities business support is required. * Strong knowledge of Equities trading concepts, such as baskets with 2-3 years experience is required. * Experience directly supporting and interfacing with Equities Traders for 2-3 years is required. * Minimum 2 ? 3 years experience in Iterative Development/RUP is desireable. * Some knowledge of RDBMS (Oracle) and SQL is desireable. Other Qualifications: * Strong knowledge of Equities trading. * Knowledge of Fixed Income trading would be helpful, but is not mandatory. * Excellent client skills. * Excellent written and verbal communications skills. * Self-motivated and willing to work in an energetic, fast paced team environment. * Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. * An individual with a highly driven type of personality would mesh well with the team. * Senior person with strong initiative who works effectively with little direction from management. Education/Experience: A bachelor?s degree and a minimum of 7 years of experience in the investment industry are required.df-tc
