Description
Northrop Grumman has ab IMMEDIATE need for an Embedded Software Engineering, US Citizenship Required, but No Security Clearance Required.
Work location is a NAVY site.

Candidate will have an excellent command of high-end WEB development concepts and tools. Leadership experience in previous (and successful) roll-outs of WEB-based system(s) would be very helpful.

Your skill sets and background should include, dealing with linux Beowulf cluster performance and robustness issues, TCP/IP behaviors and performance issues, current methods of detecting and preventing session hi-jacking, etc.

Knowledge & skills in dealing with linux/unix kernel internals would be a plus.The successful candidate will also mentor colleagues and provide insightful direction to the Client as to overall architecture and direction for WEB-based applications and system development.T

he job will entail leading the team that develops complex WEB-based weather applications, and doing coding and development of these applications, developing test scenarios (for regression testing), release protocols (for determining whether a code is ready for production, and working with Operations personnel to insure smooth transition of packages into the day_to_day working environment. This will also include some post-release support.)

Job Qualifications:

This position requires an appreciation of DoD (and primarily NAVY) military protocols. This is a NAVY site.
(1) Successful candidate will have a lead position and much of the responsibility of delivering product(s) will fall to this person.
(2) Background will most likely include skills in: XML, XSLT, Rapid Prototyping, JAVA, JAVA Beans, J2EE, ASP, C, C++, and strong analytical skills.
(3) BS in Computer Science is highly likely, but not required. Advanced degree likely.
(4) A Better qualification than degrees may well be a proven track record of delivering complex [and successful] WEB-based systems.
(5) Strong linux/unix skills
(6) Ability to work with team members and others.
