Kaiser Permanente, partnering with Genesis10 Consulting, is seeking 2 entry level Quality Assurance Testers for a 7 month contract in Oakland, CA.

This position is for someone that likes working on an exciting and leading edge project.

As paper-based medical record systems pass into history, our national KP HealthConnect Project steps solidly to the forefront. When fully deployed, this secure, pre-eminent system will provide an organized database of clinical information on each of our millions of members across the country. Electronically linking patient information, basic computerized patient records, decision support, clinical practice guidelines and workflow management, approximately 50,000 users will have immediate access to this data. It's a capability that promises to radically redefine the way care is delivered.

Position Responsibilities:
In this position, you will be Testing the Epic Clarity product. Testing will ensure data flows correctly from the various Epic applications (EpicCare, ADT, ED, HB, Pharmacy, Resolute, Cadence, Prelude, OpTime, etc.) to Clarity. This will require inputting data in the front end application and then being able to query data within Clarity (via Crystal, SAS or using SQL) to validate results. Coordination with NCAL Application AC's, Testers, as well as RIMS and Business CCAE's is important to the success of this position. The applicant will need to put together and run test scripts in Test Director. Logging and maintaining a common test issue log will be needed as well as seeing issues through to resolution. Upon completion of the testing phase of this project, the Clarity application will have successfully tested business scenarios and validated data so that related Business Teams feel comfortable that their information will work in the new KP HealthConnect environment. The ideal candidate will have experience with testing applications, querying relational databases (preferably via SQL, SAS or Crystal), experience with Test Director (or similar Testing automation product) to create/develop test scripts, experience with Epic applications. Candidate should be analytical, have experience seeing issues through to resolution, proven ability to maintain and track testing issues through to resolution, and strong professional communication skills.
