Position Description:

The responsibilities of this position include the standards for network security, corporate security, Symantec client Firewall testing and deployment of new security infrastructure elements. In this role you will join an existing team to provide ongoing testing and evaluation of security solutions for the enterprise environment. Specifically, you will conduct testing regarding Symantec Client Security, Server 2003, GPO policies, Active Directory and troubleshoot constraints in a lab environment while documenting your test results.

Principal Activities:
Design, implementation, and support of corporate security solutions -Design and implementation of customer security solutions using lab environment - Test, evaluate, and identify deficiencies related to reliability and maintainability of new security elements. Provisioning, management and troubleshooting of custom Firewall policies and GPO policies. Create Security Design Documentation and Functional Requirements documentation regarding security solutions.

Responsibilities:

Test, evaluate, and identify security policies and encryption standards when applicable. Test, evaluate, and identify deficiencies related to reliability, interoperability, and maintainability on new Firewall policies, GPO policies for Windows Vista and Windows XP Pro prior to deployment.

Required Experience:

• MUST Have Active Directory - Create GPO policies - DNS, WINS experience


• MUST Have experience creating Symantec Client Firewall policies and managing SAV 10.x environment


• MUST Have Vbscripting


• MUST be customer service oriented


• MUST have excellent communication skills

MUST have excellent documentation skills

MUST have Ability to adapt to shifting priorities

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to have):

• MCSE


• Administer Active Directory in Windows 2000 and 2003

• Ability to create Group Policy using Group Policy Management Console


• Administer Users, Group and Computer objects


• Understanding Windows permissions


• Understanding DNS, Sites and Subnets


• Knowledgeable at troubleshooting Active Directory constraints


• Knowledgeable of (GPO) implementation for alignment with best practices and/or possible optimization


• Familiarity with creating Symantec client Firewall policies for v7.x v8.x


• Excellent documentation skills is also desired


• Vista Experience nice/Vista Fire Wall Configuration, Huge Plus


• Windows Shell Scripting


• Wise Package Studio


• Altiris or SMS would be a plus
