Robert Half Technology is recruiting for a Unix AIX administrator for a client in Tampa. The AIX Administrator should have 8-10 years hands-on experience administering a Unix AIX environment.The AIX Administrator will be responsible for monitoring and supporting the environment, System security, hardware and software problem resolution, system backup and recovery processes, and providing 2nd and 3rd level technical support.The AIX Administrator will also be responsible for capacity planning, software package installation and maintenance, and research and planning of new technology implementations. They will also be work hands on with Disaster Recovery planning and documentation, project management functions for systems related projects, and other assignments as directed.df-tc

*8-10 Yrs Hands-On experience*4 Year Degree*Expert AIX Unix Knowledge*Experience Planning and Maintaining IBM Series p Server hardware, LPAR's, VIO server, HMC, NIM, and HACMP*Experience building, tuning, and maintaining Unix AIX Servers*Experience installing and maintaining J2EE-based application servers*Strong TCP/IP knowledge*Server and network performance monitoring*Managing Unix interoperability in a multi-platform environment*Shell scripting*Technical Project Management experience*Strong communication skills*IBM Websphere installation and support*IBM DB2 database server installation and support**Hands-On EMC AN configuration and administration*Team Lead experience a huge plus!*Veritas Netbackup
