Precision Resources is presently recruiting for an AIX Unix Administrator for a 3 Month Contract to Permanent position located in Birmingham, AL. This person will provide Unix (AIX) system administration support. Candidates will develop maintenance procedures, proposals, plans, and guidelines for system configuration, deployment, and support.
This person will provide technical solutions and guidance for internal customers and team members in all aspects of Unix AIX operating system; perform and assist internal customers and team members in resolving Unix issues; and be able to work with application developers, helping trouble-shoot their applications and guide them with best practices. Candidates must be able to express his/her thoughts clearly and capable of working in a team environment as well as an individual contributor. This person will maintain a thorough working knowledge of the various and Unix operating systems, networking technologies, policies, procedures and best practices; suggest ways to improve/expand upon the efficiency of Unix operations.
