Responsibilities and Technical Qualifications Platform is deployed in a Sun Solaris (Unix) environment and utilizes Oracle as a database. A middleware software package, serves as a data transformation and routing tool. This software is a highly configurable, robust tool that can dynamically reformat and transform data and messages. IBM's MQ Series software is used as the communication protocol between systems. Strategically, they need to design an industrial strength application that can support the mission critical processing needs of a diverse client base.A Senior Application Architect is needed to help design both strategic and tactical client solutions. They are building several integration messaging solutions to enable their clients to exchange data with their counterparties. Applicant will determine the architectual vision for the platform. The Application Architect will be determining the architectural vision for the platform and ensuring project alignment with this vision. Key aspects of this position include high-level and detailed architectural design, evaluation of the current real-time applications, and design of the next generation architecture for the real-time platform. This position will be heavily involved in the day-to-day hands on evaluation, design, and customization of our enterprise messaging hub. Will design and develop common application services for re-use across multiple project initiatives. Responsibilities:* Establish and communicate strategic vision and architecture or the Platform * Work with product managers and business analysts to develop and implement integration solutions.* Translate the business requirements into technical designs, understanding the business and technical goals and constraints, articulating the platform vision, preparing alternative approaches and specifying components and interfaces. * Document all aspects of architecture including but not limited to data, logical processes, hardware and operating system environment, interfaces with other systems, internal and external checks and controls, security, etc.* Provide technical leadership to the development team in resolving development and implementation issues. * Mentor junior developers and conducts technical design reviews. * Develop and document key applications. * Assist the Application Support Team in resolving production issues. * Assist in the systems management to ensure a highly available solution, including problem resolution and systems upgrades.
