GENERAL FUNCTION:
Under moderate supervision, develops cost-effective technology solutions by creating new and modifying existing software applications. Designs, develops, tests, debugs, and maintains software applications. Assists in system planning, scheduling and implementation. Provides support to end users.
The position is on the Technical/Professional ladder at level 2 in the Applications Development discipline.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Designs, implements and tests new applications as they are needed by the business.
2. Analyzes, codes, tests and documents routine enhancements made to new and/or existing programs.
3. Participates in 24x7 production support on-call rotation.
4. Performs troubleshooting and problem resolution for existing application software.
5. Writes specifications and coordinates project resources for application projects with minor complexity.
6. Demonstrates proven knowledge in one or more applications or systems.
7. Maintains current applications by analyzing process flows, researching issues and implementing system changes.
8. Creates detailed project plans, work tasks, target dates, etc. for small to medium size projects.
9. Other duties as required.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:


Undergraduate degree in a Computer Science or Software Engineering field with, 1-3 years of experience.
