AS/400 Programmer - Contract-to-hire

Xpect SVC is currently seeking an AS/400 Programmer for a contract-to-hire opportunity with our client located in the Norcross, GA area.

Candidate will be responsible for maintenance and configurations to existing internal applications (payroll, billing, etc.). 80% of the code is written in COBOL, and 20% in AS400 i-Series (RPG).

Required Skills:

• A minimum of 5 years experience with AS400.
• Candidate should have experience on IBM iSeries, COBOL, RPG, DB2/400.
• Knowledge of ASP.NET, FOXPRO will be a plus.
• Excellent SQL skills
• Knowledge of Windows XP, Microsoft Office - required.
• Good project management skills with the ability to work effectively with a minimum of supervision within challenging deadlines.
• Ability to work with minimal direction on complex projects or unresolved issues.
• Able to quickly obtain an awareness of business or function for which application is designed.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong analytical, decision-making and problem solving skills.
