We are currently seeking an Access Control / Security Analyst for a contract in Durham, NC, with an initial term of 3 - 6 months.

The Information Security Analyst identifies and develops access controls to safeguard systems against accidental or unauthorized modification, destruction or disclosure. In addition, the Information Security Analyst is
responsible for user account administration in a multi-platform
environment and ensures that administration procedures are aligned with
overall Information Security policies and standards.

The Information Security Analyst should have a strong understanding of
the security structure of the core platforms; including auditing and
reporting capabilities. Requirements are as follows:

Responsibilities:

1. Maintain user access to securable system resources (UNIX,
OS390 Mainframe, iSeries, Windows / Active Directory) performing tasks
such as: creation / configuration of user logon Ids, updating access
control lists, designing / executing system access reports to identify
potential security violations
2. Perform standard and non-standard processing of security
authorization requests
3. Work with resource owners in the Line of Business (LOB)
organizations to determine appropriate security policies for securable resources
4. Troubleshoot system access problems and failures
5. Assist network resource owners and IT staff in understanding and
responding to security-related audit issues reported by internal and
external audit entities
6. Assist resource owners and IT staff in understanding and responding
to security access exceptions

Experience/Skills
Requirements:

1. Security / Audit / Network related certifications preferred
2. Three to six years of related information security work experience
in support of the areas of responsibility listed above
3. Demonstrated security administration experience on two or more
platforms (UNIX, OS390 Mainframe, iSeries, Windows / Active Directory)
4. Systems administration experience within other aspects of IT
5. Familiarity with audit and risk-related methodologies; such as
COBIT
6. Must be detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to
present and discuss technical information to users with varying
technical expertise
8. Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain collaborative working
relationships across multiple teams
9. Strong customer focus and the ability to manage customer
expectations
10. Must have strong team-oriented interpersonal skills and the ability
to effectively interface with a wide variety of people
11. Demonstrated commitment to continuous process improvement
12. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
13. Confidence and leadership as a member of project teams in a
cross-functional environment
14. Proven ability to work under stress in emergencies; flexibility to
handle pressure from many directions simultaneously
