Account Executive - Telecom Services





RESPONSIBILITIES



Candidate must have proven experience in a direct hunting sales role, preferably selling network services to major financial institutions, trading exchanges, and market information services providers..



Completes account planning for assigned customers, including development of account profiles and account positioning strategy; customer needs analysis; sales opportunity developments; preparation of service improvement plans; and creation of long-range account management strategies.

Conducts proactive sales activities, including proactive needs assessment, applications development, proposal presentation, order negotiation and post-sales service requirements.

Prospecting, defining customer needs, proposal preparation and presentation and closing the sale.

Experience building a base of business.

Positive attitude, sense of urgency, strong work ethic and the desire to be the best. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong negotiation and executive selling skills.

Manages accounts on an on-going basis. This includes frequent service follow-ups, problem solving, and emerging needs identification.

Expand the market awareness of our client through involvement in trade and commercial organizations.

Remain knowledgeable and up-to-date on changes in the telecommunications industry through attendance of training, seminars and trade journals.

Responds to requests from customers for information, support, assistance, joint proposals, pricing, etc. Responds to demand sales requests.

Supports others within the sales/service team to achieve customer satisfaction.

Ensure attainment of sales and service objectives

Attend local networking events to assist in new sales lead generation.

Responsible for prospecting through cold calling and appointment setting.







Education, Experience and Skills Requirements



Bachelors Degree



Demonstrated ability to prospect, penetrate, identify, qualify and generate new business prospects through direct solicitation, industry networking and partnering with channel firms .



Minimum of 5+ years of
selling to Financial and trading Industry sales experience



Strong
communication skills, especially delivering presentations to technical and non-technical business unit management prospects and clients.





Experience in customer needs assessment, sales opportunity development, account profiling, and long-range account strategy.

General knowledge of marketing principles and processes.

Knowledge of switched and dedicated services, and associated end-user and carrier applications.

Knowledge of basic network design and local access services.

Operational understanding of telecommunications ordering, provisioning and billing processes.

Thorough understanding of market data / electronic trading industry and technology.

Record of sales to Major Trading exchanges and Market Data providers in assigned territory, such as CBOT, Bloomberg and others.

Thorough understanding of telecommunications industry, technology and services offerings, such as Metro Ethernet, Managed Services, DWDM, VoIP, MPLS and VPNs.

Knowledge of Business Continuity and Network Security preferred.df-tc
