Operations Accountant

If you are a Senior Operations Accountant with government A&D manufacturing actual cost experience, please read on!

What you need for this position:
* BS degree - Accounting or Information Technology preferred
* 5 years cost accounting experience, prefer mfg and Aerospace & Defense
* Experience in std cost, U.S. Gov. contracting and cost accounting standards
* Advanced Excel skills and other MS Office products
* Experience with manufacturing accounting
* Experience w/Lean methodologies & strong desire to contribute to Lean initiatives
* Corporate Accounting and Operations Finance support
* Team orientation
* Excellent Communication and Time management skills
* Experience with financial modeling, budgeting, strategic planning, cost/pricing
* ERP System skills - Baan preferred

What you'll be doing:
* Collaborate with teams to manage financial aspects of programs
* Establish program budget baselines, monitor and manage variances
* Perform multiple cost analyses.allocations, control, data collection, reporting
* Sarbanes Oxley compliance responsibility, GAAP, FAR, CAS as applicable
* Monthly close, periodic mgt reviews
* Assist in annual strategic and long range operating plans, budgets, forecasts
* Prep and update overhead cost pools
* Analyze and monitor inventory related services, corrective action as needed
* Provide support to operations mgt on factory efficiency and cost metrics
* Monitor collection and allocation of actual costs
* Participate with Team in lean manufacturing activities and cost reduction projects
