Analyst - Application Development

General Qualifications
Degree Preference: Degree Preferred; B.S. degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Math or related field with 1-3 years Business/IT Industry experience.

Assignment
Analyze business processes and shape solutions to address business needs.
Facilitate requirements gathering through a variety of requirements elicitation techniques.
Apply the use case approach to document and communicate functional requirements.
Facilitate discussions of requirements scope, priority, and dependencies. Work with application architects and developer to produce technical documentation.
Document business requirements accurately and timely.
Perform periodic functionality verification testing of derived requirements.

Primary Responsibilities
1) Define and document application requirements.
2) Create project artifacts/documentation.
3) Business Analyst on Engineering Business application development team.
4) Provide product demonstrations.
5) Participate in functional product testing.

Required General Skills
1) Excellent verbal/written communication skills to facilitate interaction with IT staff, customer staff and management.
2) Excellent writing skills to facilitate creation of both technical and non-technical documents.
3) Ability to write detailed business requirements and/or use cases.
4) Ability to clearly set priorities and to quickly adjust to customer driven changes, while maintaining great attention to detail.
5) Ability to apply problem-solving techniques to application, environment, and data issues.

Required Technical Skills
1) Analyst-Application Development - Intermediate with 3 year(s) experience.
2) MS Office - Excel, Powerpoint, Word and MS Project - Intermediate with 3 year(s) experience.

Preferred Technical Skills
1) Visio - Intermediate with 2 year(s) experience.
2) Experience with iterative development methodology and artifacts - Intermediate with 3 year(s) experience.
3) Rational Suite (Rose, Requisite Pro, Clear Quest, etc.) a plus - Intermediate with 2 year(s) experience.
