Analyst - Business Application Support

Assignment
Provide daily second tier support call resolution and management for a custom application development team that supports a number of varied applications. Could also provide project based business analyst role as a secondary activity.

Primary Responsibilities
1) Receive and track daily second tier call volume.
2) Analyze problems and provide direct second tier support when possible.
3) Recommend issues that require third tier support and help management prioritize these issues.
4) Provide data analysis in Oracle and SQL Server as needed.

Required General Skills
1) Excellent verbal/written communication skills to facilitate interaction with customer and IT staff.
2) Excellent writing skills to facilitate creation of both technical and non-technical documents.
3) Ability to clearly set priorities and to quickly adjust to customer driven changes, while maintaining great attention to detail.
4) Ability to apply problem-solving techniques to application, environment, and data issues.
5) Ability to write detailed business requirements and/or use cases.

Required Technical Skills
1) Analyst-Business Application Support - Expert with 4 years experience.
2) Analyst-Application Development - Expert with 4 years experience.
3) Ability to analyze application data to point out potential application issues, given the structure of the application database. - Intermediate with 4 years experience.

Preferred Technical Skills
1) Analyst-Production Support - Expert with 4 years experience.
2) Ability to run queries in Oracle with TOAD - Intermediate with 3 years experience.
3) Ability to run queries in SQL Server with Enterprise Manager tools. - Intermediate with 3 years experience.
