About the Job
Intersection's Production Management group is seeking an individual to join the team in an Analyst/Jr. Developer role. This is a unique opportunity for an individual who has fundamental developer skills that would like to apply these skills in an Operations environment and also work in an analyst based capacity.

Primary functions of this position will be:
Create scripts to manage and further develop upon an existing file transfer process which utilizes an automated file transfer software (MessageWay) to ensure optimal efficiency is achieved end-to-end
To review existing internal applications and processes utilized by the department and spearhead efforts to eliminate manual processes through automation, troubleshoot production issues and identify ways to improve upon existing automated processes

In addition to managing the implementation of the above primary functions, this individual will also be responsible for:
Responsibilities:
Overall ownership of the automated file transfer tool (MessageWay) including data structure, new file additions, configuration, reporting and troubleshooting
Build/configure/develop/test/implement an automated file transfer process using industry software
Via MessageWay, assist in managing the delivery and synchronization of monthly fulfillment data at both on and offsite locations
Assist in the development and maintenance of working production environments
Research events that fail and provide escalation to proper parties for resolution
Develop detailed understanding of Intersections' business and data workflow and assist in continuous improvement and prioritization enhancements
Support file transfers and serve as back-up for daily processing as needed to ensure daily SLA's are met
Other duties as assigned by the Production Management Manager

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience
3 5 years SQL experience strong working knowledge
Ability to create, update and maintain databases and have a strong understanding of relational database concepts
Understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP based communication protocols (PGP, SFTP, FTP, HTTPS)
Window Batch Scripting Required
VBScript - Recommended
PERL Scripting Recommended
Basic Unix Recommended
Attention to detail and the ability to prioritize a must
Excellent troubleshooting/analytical skills
Proficiency in MS Office suite
Process definition and documentation experience
Project life cycle experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
