Description
Analytical Lab Technician II wanted for the Anaheim area. Job Description: Perform routine QC analytical testing and call off QC tests as required. Perform trouble shooting on analytical instruments. Maintain a good QC data and record keeping. Perform other job as necessary. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: List the jobs essential or most important functions and responsibilities. Includes all important aspects of the job whether performed daily, weekly, monthly, or annually and any that occur at irregular intervals. Routinely perform analytical testing, including wet chemistry tests (acid/base and other titration) and instrumental analyses by following established testing procedures. Prepare samples via any method. Efficiency and accuracy is the requirement. Maintain documented proficiency on any analytical tests. As a minimum, proficiency is required for the following, wet chemistry lab test including all kinds of titration, HPLC, Rheometrics, FTIR, GC-FTIR, DSC, TMA, DMA, TGA, Moisture Analyzer, Particle Size Analyzer, etc. Calculate and compile test results for all analytical tests. Critically evaluate data for validity and perform retest or rework as needed. Must be able to identify anomalous results and be capable of preliminary problem solving and basic trouble shooting. Must be able to use Lims system. Calibrate all the analytical instruments according the procedures and requirements and maintain the calibration log. Perform minor repairs on analytical instruments. Maintain and trouble shoot routine problems with instrumentation. Be able to modify the test procedures. Perform housekeeping in laboratory; maintain a clean and safe laboratory working environment. Responsible for maintaining sufficient stocks of supplies for the laboratory. Place requisitions for supplies replacement parts and expendable items. Observe all laboratory safety procedures. Must work safely at all times. Must be able to train new technicians on various job functions including sample prep, chemical analysis, calculation and compilation of test results on most of tests. Must be able to support manufacture for call off in any shift.Minimum 2 years working in the lab (Manufacturing) or R & D.
