Description
Responsibilities
* Responsible for project management and production management of antenna control system and gimbal projects within the Antenna & Wireless.
* Program management of projects. This includes but is not limited to, establishing and tracking schedule, budget and technical requirements. Acting as lead customer interface. Communicating tasks to the team, staffing the team if necessary and tracking progress. Ensuring that all program documentation is complete and accurate. Most of all, program management is ensuring the customer's satisfaction, delivering a profit to the company and generating follow-on business.
* Must be able to effectively manage multiple projects in parallel.
* Production management. Act as primary interface between engineering/projects and production. Acts as first line troubleshooter to ensure timely, quality production of antenna & wireless hardware and software. Requires close interaction with purchasing, production planner, assemblers & quality. Ability to provide manufacturing input to design and manufacturing processes highly desirable.
* Business development. Assist in drafting and presenting proposals for new business with particular focus on follow-on business. Participate in the bid no bid, proposal review and contract review processes.
* Adhere to ISO procedures and promote the ISO system within your programs.
* This job requires a strong technical background, excellent communication & organizational skills and the ability to travel.

Results Expected
* Successful program management of the controller and gimbal projects as defined by meeting schedule, performance and budget. Management of multiple projects in parallel will be required.
* Successful production management of controllers and gimbals measured by on time/on budget delivery, zero defects after shipment, continuous improvement in processes resulting in cost reductions.
* Documented product line according to ISO.
* Participate in a minimum of 5 control system proposals over next 12 months.
* Assist in staffing as required.

Requirements & Specifications
* Manufacturing engineering , program management, product management experience
* Technical background in custom electronics and electromechanical assemblies
* Background in antenna systems and control systems highly desirable.
* Management of Hardware production and software development.
* Strong oral and written communications skills.
* Strong management and leadership skills. Must communicate and coordinate with customers as well as technical, engineering, sales and management staff.
* Knowledge of standards related to the engineering process such as; configuration management, drawing release and control, quality assurance and testing, parts, materials, processes, etc.

Education
BSME or BSEE, MSEE/MS Operations preferred

Experience
5-10 years in engineering project management/manufacturing engineering, antenna control system experience highly desirable.
