We have an immediate need for an Application Architect-Client Server

JOB DESCRIPTION
Works independently to provide end to end solutions to Global business needs. Demonstrates ability to drive innovation and change within the team. Manages distributed systems software development team (leveraging C , VB6 and VB.Net on a Windows platform) implementing Automation applications. Provides formalized work direction and leadership to technical team including coaching technical team members, scheduling assignments, reviewing project work, ensuring efficient solutions and as needed performing as an individual contributor on highly complex and critical tasks. Ensure that the systems developed meet or exceed customer requirements, are successfully completed in a timely manner, and adhere to standards. Communicate technical issues and project updates to all levels of management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Meets and participates with business partners in the planning and prioritization of projects.
  • Actively works with business partners and other department leaders to provide input/guidance on strategic direction
  • Clearly communicates expectations to technical team members
  • Successfully manages multiple concurrent projects of varying size and scope
  • Proven ability to provide innovative solutions and viable alternatives to automation issues.
  • Directs and acts as an expert technical resource to programming staff in the program development, testing and implementation process.
  • Interview and recommend for recruiting highly qualified team members and contractor resources as needed
  • Provides project sizing estimates, time schedules, and personnel requirements.
  • Ensures the completion of project detail specifications from design to implementation by assigned developers.
  • Provides ongoing work direction to assigned technicians and leaders resolving difficult technical and project management problems.
  • Maintains close coordination and communication with other systems personnel and business partners throughout the project.
  • Negotiates technical decisions with other team members and technology community.
  • Functions as mentor and disseminates business, project, and technical information to junior members of technical team.
  • Oversees acceptance testing process.
