Description
Global CI has an immediate need for an Application Architect/Software Developer. This position is required to work at our client site near Baltimore MD. This person will take a key role in all aspects of software and application development efforts from requirements definition through deployment. This individual will be responsible for participating in the interface between the development team, management, and the customer. Development items will include test routines for Quality Assurance scripting, Web Server Design and Architecture, custom applications for tracking contractually required information, and participating in various systems/tool integration efforts.




Experience/Skills

  • An undergraduate degree (BA/BS) in Computer Science or an IT related field.
  • The individual must have experience in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Focused requirements gathering with internal personnel and the customer and documentation of requirements is key.
  • Development of and adherence to project timelines is a critical to success.
  • The candidate must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Expertise in: Visual Basic, Visual C++, VBScript, C, HTML, PHP, and JAVA.
  • Experience with the following: Windows 2000/XP and Windows 2000/2003 Server, Microsoft SQL Server, Window Management Instrumentation (WMI), MS/SQL Transact SQL, and Apache Web Server

Additional Skills that would be desired:
  • IBM Web Sphere, PERL, and UNIX shell scripting
