General Qualifications
Degree Preference: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Math or related field.

Assignment
Provide technical leadership to application development teams in the following areas: Object Oriented (OO) analysis, design and development; Design Patterns; Programming Language - Java; Application Server - WebSphere; IDE - MyEclipse; Database - Oracle 9.x/10.x

Primary Responsibilities
1) Establish and support enterprise application development best practices, standards, and guidelines for Java development.
2) Provide technical leadership to application development groups utilizing the WebSphere platform and an Object Oriented (OO) development approach. This includes analysis, design, and development consulting, and performing design and code reviews.
3) Code and maintain enterprise reusable components.
4) Provide expert advice and assistance in terms of technical troubleshooting and resolving significant issues to root cause. If necessary take the lead role in resolving an issue.
5) Evaluate current and future technologies for potential inclusion in Enterprise Architecture.

Required General Skills

4) Ability to be productive with minimal supervision.

Required Technical Skills
1) Architect-Application - Expert with 5 year(s) experience.
Java Architect - 5-6 year(s) experience. Experienced in IBM WebSphere 6 application server environment, features, and packages.
2) Developer-Java - Expert with 5 year(s) experience.
Experienced in OOAD/UML/OOP and the application of these principles to large complex software systems. High level technical skills with Java development technologies (MyEclipse, JEE, JNDI, JMS, EJB, ANT, automated testing tools).

Preferred Technical Skills
1) Familiarity with the Rational toolset (ClearCase, ClearQuest). - Intermediate with 1 year experience.
2) Familiarity with Sparx Systems Enterprise Architect. - Intermediate with 1 year experience.

Anticipated Assignment Duration: Up to 12 Months
