Application Architect

We are seeking an Application Architect for customer support on a short-term, 3 week project in Chicago, IL. We can offer a very competative rate on this contract.

Project Details:
We are in the need of a candidate with Web Technology Skills and Java Skills.

Phase I: Assessment

- Understand the customer's environment and objectives.
- Analyze the code base, creating an inventory of the code, determining lines of code, and looking for areas of concern for the migration effort.
- Determine the structure of the code, and identify any third party libraries or other dependencies.
- Attempt to compile representative samples of the code with the Micro-Focus compiler to more accurately understand the complexity and risk of the engagement.
- Gather requirements for the IBM leadership and assistance in the following work efforts:
- Architecture and Planning
- Migration
- Functional Testing
- Performance Testing
- Deployment
- Develop a work plan with estimated hours, resources, milestones, and execution timelines-
- Create a design for how the abstraction layer consisting of COBOL with Micro-Focus on zLinux will connect the J2EE Application Server to DB/2 on z/OS.
