JOB DESCRIPTION
CDI is currently seeking an Application Developer ??? COBOL for one of our clients located in Paramus, NJ. This is a 10 month contract opportunity.



Job Title: Application Developer (COBOL)



Required Skills:

??? Apply Knowledge of Business-IT Requirements

??? Use Library Management Tools

??? Use Application Development Methodologies & Tools

??? Use Data Models

??? Use Full Life Cycle

??? Use Applications Strategies for Maintenance

??? Perform Code Unit Test

??? Develop Program Specifications

??? Perform Application Testing Activities

??? Use COBOL Technology to Develop Applications

??? Use Test Tools Knowledge

??? Develop Metrics Appl Devel Progress/Quality

??? Design from Functional/Non-functional Requirements

??? Perform Compare Programming Languages

??? Perform Design/Build/Test/Package Solution

??? Use Automated Development Tools

??? Use Configuration Management Tools

??? Use Application Development Work Products

??? Must Have: COBOL, DB2, CICS, MQ, Stored Procedures, DB2 Stored Procedure Builder JCL, VSAM, Batch Debugging Tools - Expediter, Intertest, RC/Update, FileAid

??? Strong Analytical skills - Ability to do analysis and design, document findings, code, debug, test Communication skills

??? Good verbal and written communication to be able to converse with other application groups, create documentation per Application Lifecycle Methodology.
