Description
Work with Application Maintenance team to support, maintain, and enhance Web application products. (CDB, Company Broker, Dealer Admin., Retail Sales Assistance, Dealer Communication System, etc.) CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: Function as technical development resource for web application maintenance and enhancements.aintain a high level of competence, professionalism, and systems expertise while working through development life cycle.Work cross functionally with Account Managers, Product/Project Managers, Business Analyst and Application Delivery Management to coordinate problem resolution and customer request. Delivery software modifications according to change agreements and project delivery plan.Work with Project Manager, Business Analyst and Tech Lead/Architect to provide detailed IT development estimates and implementation plan.Analyze and translate user requirements into proper system specifications and technical design. Mange scope and objective of project requests.Assure system and technical solutions are made part of the long-term strategic development plan.Be responsible for development of technical component design and migration to production.Stay abreast of significant technological developments that may impact the business.Coordinate cross-functional activities with other IS departments as required.Continue to enhance technical skills through formal education, self-study, or the application of new technologies to business solutions.Investigate application maintenance problems and make corrections as required to prevent reoccurrence.Provide systems support as required both during and after normal working hours.Communicate effectively to management and development staff. Keep them aware of project status, and seek assistance or approval where appropriate.

Requirements:

Four year college Degree in Engineering/Computer Science4 years of hands on coding skill in Java/oracle/IBM Webshpere2 Years recent experience in Java SwingExcellent Communication skillsCo-operative team player with highly demanding project deadlines.Technical Skills Required: Java, JDK, J2EE standards, IBM WSAD, Websphere, Oracle database ; Product development experiencePrior experience in, XML, XSLT, COM+, ASP and IIS, Visual C++, MFC, ATL, COM+, Visual Basic 6.0, Microsoft .Net, Web Services, Biztalk and Rational products suite. EDUCATION: Minimum - 4 year degree related to business information systems / engineering. Graduate degree is a plus. EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 7 years experience in distributed application development in a manufacturing setup. Most recent experience must include hands on coding skills in Java, JDK, IBM WS on Sun/AIX platforms. Current experience must include development of applications/products with ORACLE databases. Previous experience in web application development in other areas using C, C++, oracle, SQL server database is a plus.
