Location: Atlanta, GA (Marietta)

Description:

End to end design and development of object oriented MVC web applications using Ruby on Rails, MySQL and/or DB2, on the Windows, Linux or other UNIX operating system platform.

Building and deploying Ruby on Rails application into multiple target platforms using the Capistrano build tools.

Maintaining source code versions with Subversion, CVS and other comparable tools.

SOAP and REST web services development and mashup, and development of AJAX based UI interactions with libraries such as Scriptaculous.

GIS application development using GeoKit to integrate Google Maps or Yahoo Maps services and other Enterprise GIS comps.

Develop detail design and implementing code based on high level design or arch of system, wireframes, navigational flows, visual design guide, HTML and style sheet code.

Nice to have skills: (Desired, but not mandatory)

Must be able to get up to speed quickly on the following:
Defects and issues tracking with Trac, Jira, ClearQuest, and other comparable tools Agile software development practices that include release and iteration planning, test driven development, iterative development, and continuous build and system integration test.

Working with creative team members, information architects, and other developers to implement a system in an agile and iterative fashion.

Working with functional and performance test team members to manage defects, issues, or feature requests and fine tune the developed applications.

Training end user and developers in the use and administration of the developed applications.

Developing documentation for the detail design and implementation.df-tc
