Description

PRIMARY FUNCTION:         Support trouble tickets on currently developed applications and work directly with staff to correct any issues.  Work with department heads to consider applications and programming changes that could meet company objectives and proceed with programming/restructuring of systems after approval by CIO.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

?        Ensure confidentiality, reliability, functionality and integrity of corporate data, proprietary information and intellectual property.

?        Provide feedback to supervisor on all specific technology needs, including specific development languages and software platforms to use that best meet the specific goal of any particular project.

?        Maintain database structure for use with applications being developed, including creating and maintaining tables, fields, triggers, and other required programming and development.

?        Respond to issues relating to applications and database errors and correct them on a timely basis so systems are operating at peak efficiency.

?        Work directly with supervisor and department heads to hear application and system needs and develop projects approved by supervisor that will address corporate needs.

?        Develop and maintain online reports and ad-hoc reports to meet the reporting needs of all departments.

?        Maintain documentation that assists with identification and correction of issues, maintenance of the database, deltas to all applications and all other assigned documentation maintenance.

?        Work with supervisor to provide technology and technical support for clients/carriers to supply access to policy information, project tracking, document collaboration, request systems and new applications.

?        Responsible for reliability of Web based applications and reporting for internal and external clients.

?        Superior customer service.

?        Other duties as assigned.

 

ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

?        Strong written and verbal communication skills.

?        Corporate experience working with individuals and staff to develop a concept and create systems to meet the corporate goal.

?        At least two years experience in a successful team environment.

?        At least two years experience Microsoft SQL Server.

?        Understanding of technology security needs and workflow.

 

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

?        Experience in Web application development (ASP, ASP .Net, HTML, Flash) applicable to meeting corporate needs.

?        Strong understanding and experience/certifications with Microsoft SQL Server (2000 and 2005) and other database software programming.

?        Corporate experience with Microsoft Exchange Server (2000, 2003, and 2008) and Active Directory.

?        Certification or previous experience programming in Dreamweaver (ASP), Visual Studio, and/or other Windows software development platforms.

?        At least moderate previous use of other Web design applications (Photoshop, Flash, etc).

?        Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SendMail, Samba, WINS, and other network protocols.

?        Efficient and successful computer problem solving abilities.

 

EDUCATION, LICENSE & EXPERIENCE:

?        At least associates degree and/or four years comparable work experience with skill sets required.

?        Some official experience, either on the job or with education training, doing Web software development in an ASP model.

?        At least two years previous experience programming in Dreamweaver ASP.
