Perot Systems Corporation is a worldwide provider of information technology services and business solutions to a broad range of clients. Perot Systems is currently looking for a Application Development Senior Manager to join our team in Phoenix, Arizona.

Job Responsibilities:
This position would support a multi-site healthcare provider overseeing a team of 90 direct and indirect reports that support application development and integration efforts.
  • Overseeing at a high level the operation of personnel, activities, projects, and issues from the client.
  • Develop strategic plans for the Integration Services, Portal, and Application Development functional areas for the client from an enterprise perspective with an awareness of local facility needs.
  • Track and support the execution of projects and enhancements within the above mentioned functional areas to support the business needs of the client.
  • P&L management and report on monthly variances.
  • Work with the client, developing business cases and budgets for capital projects.
  • Direct, supervise, coordinate, review and evaluate the work of the support staff.
  • Coordinate with Senior Management in addressing operational and administrative needs.
  • Assist in coordination between vendors and staff.
  • Estimate effort and assign resources to projects and requests for services.
  • Work with business users to identify requirements for maintaining applications.
  • As a Leader this position requires that the person be available after hours and weekends for escalation of issues within their teams.
  • This position will require that the person be part of the Manager on Duty (MOD) rotation. As MOD, managers to act as an escalation point for Sev 1 and 2 incidents on the account staff this rotation.
  • Mentor teams and coach?s them in service delivery, project management, relationships and presentations.
  • Challenges team for creative solutions and innovative approaches.
  • Provides support in enhancing applications, and facilitating definition of solutions to meet business requirements, training, design reviews and executive briefings.
  • Reviews design proposals for viable content and accurate time and cost estimates.

    Required Skills:
  • 5 plus years of healthcare IT management experience in a provider environment is required.

  • Strong understanding of data integration principles.

  • Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle.

  • Strong understanding of project/program management.


    • Desired Skills:
  • 7 plus years of progressive healthcare IT experience.

  • HL7 messaging standard familiarity is preferred.

  • Experience managing geographically distributed teams is preferred.


    • Minimum Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree


    • Minimum Certifications or Other Professional Credentials:
  • Worked within CMMI certified organization.


    • Travel is 25% or less.
