Description
Global Financial Firm located in OFALLON, MO has an immediate opening for a Application Programmer Lead.

Scope of Work:
Responsible for application system analysis and programming activities. May be responsible for feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, and establishment and implementation of new or revised applications systems and programs. May be responsible for providing input into the overall direction of the organization's Mainframe system design, maintenance and application activities to meet specific business needs.

Provide production support activities for Mortgage Loan Servicing system. Duties include: troubleshooting incidents and problems to identify root-cause and restore system operation, and perform development on defect and maintenance items. As priorities and workload dictates, provide development on SDLC driven projects

Competencies Required:
Experience troubleshooting software problems in an on-line and batch Mainframe environment.
JCL (Job Control Language)/Batch programming and debugging.
CICS/Cobol development/testing/debugging.
Experience with CAs intertest for CICS and/or CompuWare Xpeditor/CICS toolsets.
Working knowledge of common MVS Utilities (eg IDCAMS, IEBxxxxxx, IEFxxxxxx, IEHxxxxxx).
Operational knowledge of z/OS workload scheduling programs such as IBM/Tivoli OPC (Operations Planning and Control).
Working knowledge of IBM/Tivoli InfoMan (Information Management).
Working knowledge of Serena ChangeMan.
Working knowledge of VSAM file structures and I/O.
Experience working in an SDLC (software development life cycle) process driven project delivery environment.
Desired experience with DB2 V7/V8, or MQ V5/V6 or WebSphere for z/OS V5/V6 or CICS Transaction Gatewaydf-tc
