One of our most exciting and creative departments ? Product Strategy - has an immediate opportunity for an Application Technical Writer responsible for Functional Documentation - user guides, functional training scripts, online help, and release notes.

Summary: Designs and writes user documentation for Internet application products including user guides, reference manuals, and release notes by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Develops and maintains documentation for Web application products by target audience including the documentation structure, scope, and purpose.

Collaborates with engineering staff, end users, and testers throughout the product life cycle to thoroughly understand applications.

Researches and gathers technical information on new applications to include in documentation.

Develops user guides and online help for Web application software based on engineering specifications.

Establishes and monitors documentation development schedules.

Modifies existing documentation as software changes are made.

Interfaces with subject matter experts to create and edit release notes.

Consults with project teams and contributes to product and design specifications as required.

Qualifications:
* Two or more years related experience
* To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of various software such as MS Word, Framemaker, Visio, RoboHelp, or equivalent.
* This position is based in Jacksonville, Florida. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
* Bachelor's degree preferred
