Description
Looking for an Applications Architect with a high level of technical expertise combined with excellent planning, coordination and communication skills, as well as the ability to work on teams. Must have experience with relevant development tools and specific application and system architecture, in addition to possessing a strong understanding of object-oriented design. Typical duties include:• Designing major aspects of the architecture of an application, including such components as user interface, middleware and infrastructure• Providing technical leadership to the applications development team• Performing design and code reviews• Ensuring that uniform enterprise wide application design standards are maintained• Collaborating with other stakeholders to ensure architecture is aligned with business requirements

Experience/Skills
A bachelor's degree in computer science or information systems is normally required, and a master's degree is highly desirable. A minimum of eight years of related work experience and experience with the design and development of enterprise-level-N-tier architecture the a .NET framework is preferred .VB.NET VB6SQLVisual Studio 2005+Web 2.0-3.0+SQL Server 2000/2005Windows and Web Apps Structured development environment experienceStrong knowledge of object oriented designUse of design patterns or other enterprise level methodologiesExperience with GIS applications is a plus
