Description
Job Purpose: To Support existing reporting system; including custom applicatins and data extracts. Duties include: Technical Support, Support of On-going Development, Installation and Upgrades. 1. SUPPORTS AND IMPROVES EXISTING REPORTS AND CUSTOM INTERFACES. Interviewing users; studying processes; developing new or expanding existing functions; testing and documenting procedures; developing programs to augment ERP system. 2. PROVIDES USER SUPPORT. Working in a call center environment and investigating potential issues raised by users. 3. RECOMMENDS IMPROVEMENTS IN PROCESSES AND PROGRAMS AND IMPLEMENTS. Watching for technological changes, new business practices, etc. that represent room for improvement in processes and programs. Implementing these improved processes with the support of management. 4. SUPPORTS AND IMPROVES CUSTOM APPLICATIONS. Maintaining and enhancing program code; working closely with end users to define and evaluate needs for improvement. 5. PLANS NEW APPLICATIONS. Evaluating corporate requirements to determine feasibility, cost and time required, compatibility with current systems and computer capabilities; consulting with management for approval. 6. DEVELOPS NEW APPLICATIONS. Converting project specifications into logical code; testing and debugging programs; ensuring application meets goals; writing documentation. 7. RECOMMENDS CHANGES TO SOFTWARE OR HARDWARE SYSTEMS. Evaluating effectiveness of existing systems in meeting current and future demands; evaluating alternative systems; making recommendations to management. 8.MAINTAINS PROFESSIONAL AND TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE. Attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies. 9. CONTRIBUTES TO THE TEAM EFFORT. Accomplishing results as needed; working on special projects as assigned. JOB TITLE: APPLICATIONS DEVLOPER, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED: 1. Bachelors degree in computer science, programming, IT-related field, or equivalent experience. 2.Development experience with PL/SQL, XML, Oracle Discoverer, and Oracle Databases/eBusiness Suite or equivalent. 3.Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. 4.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, taking ownership of a project, and ensuring its success. 5.Ability to multi-task. DESIRED, BUT NOT REQUIRED: 1.Experience in 11.5.10 eBusiness Suite, specifically HR/Payroll, Discrete Manufacturing, Finance, and/ CRM. 2.Experience administering Oracle Discoverer 10g.
