We have an immediate need for an Applications Programmer - COBOL II.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
This project supports the systems that provide welfare benefits to recipients in the state of WA. Specifically, this includes cash, food and medical programs.

Duties include analysis, design, programming, documentation, unit and integration testing. Experience in each of these areas is required. Mid-level analytical and coding skills on large and complex on-line and batch Mainframe applications. Requires excellent analytical skills in a business and application environment with complex contractor/client integrated organizations. - Able to provide quick and accurate functional assistance and technical support to client, operations, and other team members. Knowledge and experience in COBOL II applications with state and federal interfaces preferred. Experience with state welfare systems, specifically IV-A (TANF, Medical, Food Benefits preferred).

• TSO/ISPF/SCLM, 3-5 years
• IMS and CICS, 3-5 years
• COBOL II, 3-5 years
• DB2, 2 years

Desired Skills:

• US State FAMIS IV-A Welfare application experience, 2 years
• Experience in State Health & Human Services, 2 years
• State applications development experience, 2 years
• Web technologies such as JAVA, ASP, JSP, Servlets
• WebSphere would be a highly preferred
