Job Description:

Position Description: Experience Level: 4 year degree plus 5-7 years experience. Description: Works on problems involving the evaluation of specifications for complex business requirements and processes (new, enhancements, maintenance), and develops and prepares computer solutions. Performs and leads modeling, simulations, and analysis efforts. Verifies program logic by preparing test data for trial runs, tests and debugs programs. Participates in the overall systems testing. Supports the implementation of the application into production.

Provides technical support and basic development for the conversions of DTS packages to SSIS. Uses diagnostic tools and/or analyzes and uses vendor specifications to troubleshoot computer application problems to maintain or restore service or data to programs. Assists in the resolution of complex issues or escalates as needed to meet established service level agreements. Completes required logs and reports. Prepares programming specifications and completes programming tasks to develop basic, and/or assist in the development of moderately complex solutions. Prepares program test data, tests and debugs programs. Updates and completes documentation, procedures and user guides. Understands BCP, quality, security and compliance requirements for supported areas and analyzes changes for risk to the environment. Participates in testing and updating the business continuation plan.

Required Skills:
Strong SQL Server 2000 DTS experience
Strong SQL Server 2005 SSIS experience
Strong in T-SQL , various Database Join types, SQL Grouping, use of built-in functions/User defined functions, system stored procedures
Experience with handling large tables/databases, Query performance tuning, Distributed Transaction, Distributed Queries/Linked Servers
Ability to triage and troubleshoot production issues
Ability to assess and understand business and application basics
Problem solving and analysis skills are a must
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and deadlines
Flexible and self-motivated, with ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
Must be motivated and a self starter
